Queensland University of Technology was one of the first institutions in Australia to establish a publicly accessible scholarly research repository. QUT introduced an institution-wide policy for open access in January 2004 which led to the establishment of the ePrints repository. Professor Tom Cochrane, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Technology, Information and Learning Support) at QUT talked through open access and QUT’s “insitutional approach to an institutional repository.” QUT also hosts a number of associated projects. It hosts the Creative Commons Australia project which administers the Australian Creative Commons licences.
